First of all, my condolenses for your loss. Ryne Sandberg was considered the greatest modern day second baseman not named Joe Morgan. Heck of a defender at second. Carney Lansford was one of the leaders of the late 1980s-early 1990s Oakland Athletics teams. He was a good contact hitter and solid defender at third base. Adam Kennedy was one of the leaders of the 2002 baseball champion Anaheim Angels. Won the ALCS MVP for his hitting during the series against the Twins.
The only link between these three players is that they all played hard and were good role models off the field. Your dad chose very wisely.
