BET: Black Entertainment Television......racist?
Does BET strike you as racist? And if it is o.k. to have a Black Entertainment Television, would it be o.k. to have a White Entertainment Television channel? Do you think that would be racist? Why or why not?
Hey, I'm Native-American...so I know all about racism. But what about you? Would a WET be just as justifiable as a BET?

White Entertainment has been in full affect since the first Television came out. Black's weren't even allowed on many stations , in pageants or the like until the late 60's early 70's. (And that's not to mention all the other racial injustices perpetrated on Black people for hundreds of years.)
It wasn't until BET came out January 25, 1980 that Blacks finally got a station to Celebrate their endeavours music etc. (which have and continue to be minimized by society as a whole.)
SO racist? Noo.. it's about time. I am in Canada, and we have a station that caters to Natives.
