did anyone hear ken rudolph is leaving tvg?
i heard the roger stein show on sunday morning and he said at the beginning of the show that ken is leaving tvg in a month to work on a sacremento local news program. plus he's from sacremento. so he was with tvg for 12 years and he was one of the first broadcasters on air as well. to be very quite honest, he wasn't a knowledgeable horse racing analyst he was probably the worst. his knowledge wasn't good and didnt have a racing background and after 12 years he still didn't how to handicap races even though tvg was letting him put out pick 4 or pick 6 tickets on the air. brutal by tvg. but he did pick up alot of tv experience because he was sports anchoring before even coming to tvg.
now the next step for tvg is to get somebody that was just as brutal as he was or get someone that already knows about horse racing and should be used similar on-air time as ken did.
I heard about it. No great loss, he doesn't know when to shut up and his heart rules his handicapping. Gimme Christina Oliveras any day, now she can handicap!
