The Yankees are going to win the World Series in 2009 and here are the reasons why:
1. Mussina, Giambi, Pettite, and Pavano are going to be free agents which means they will have a lot of money to spend.
2. They make a lot of money from the all star game this year.
3. They sign C.C Sabathia, Mark Texeira, and Ben Sheets.
4. Re-sign Bobby Abreu
5. Farnsworth and Hawkins will be free agents so they'll sign Brian Fuentes, Steve Kline or Brandon Lyon as a setup man.
5. It will be the first season at the New Yankee Stadium.
6. They trade Matsui to San Francisco for prospects.
