What was the 1st ever Baseball game you attended live & if you remember who your favorite team was Playing?
My 1st ever live Yankee Stadium game was in 1980. Tom Underwood pitched a complete game & beat the Oakland A's
June 20, 1969 at beautiful Wrigley Field. (Just before my 7th birthday)
Cubs beat the Expos 2-0 behind a complete game 5 hitter by the immortal Bill Hands.
Funny thing is that is was a Friday afternoon (no lights then remember), school was out for the year, the Cubs were in first place, and the attendance was only about 18,000. Of course, that was when people went to Wrigley to actually watch a ballgame, but funny how times change.

Uncle Buck [VHS] $2.56 John Candy has one of his finest opportunities in this film by John Hughes (The Breakfast Club) about a perpetual screw-up (Candy) who gets his act together enough to watch over his brother's kids effectively. The late actor scores big points resurrecting elements of his more decadent persona from SCTV days, but he also has some persuasively touching, sentimental moments. Hughes's direction is not... |

Heart & Souls [VHS] $1.00 Robert Downey Jr. has never been more charming than in this comedy about a yuppie who is revisited in adulthood by the spirits of four people who had been his friends as a child. The ghosts (Kyra Sedgwick, Charles Grodin, Alfre Woodard, Tom Sizemore) all have unfinished business in this world before they can move on to the next, and Downey's character agrees to let them inhabit his body while they... |

In addition to Lennon's final televised interview before his tragic death in 1980, this two-disc set features a 1981 sit-down with Starr in which he talks about his career and memories of Lennon, and a 1979 chat with McCartney, who discusses his post-Fab Four success with Wings. 165 mi... |
