What is the value of a Topps Wayne Gretzky rookie card Grade 5 by PSA?
Everywhere I go online wants me to pay to find out. If someone has a price guide (or access to the card grading sites), I'd appreciate it if you could tell me its value. I need to sell it and don't know what price to ask. Thanks!
One sold within the last week on eBay for a total price of $140. Top price in the current soft market is $150, low is $125.
Price guides don't show prices for modern cards at the Ex level - you have to look at the near mint price and compute a rough percentage from that. PSA's website shows prices for their grades in 8, 9 and 10 only. They don't have an EX price column until you get back into the 1960s or before. So the best way to find pricing is to look at what people are actually paying. eBay's the best place for that. For Gretzky rookies, you see far more 7s and 8s being sold than you do 5s and 6s, because collectors want the top grades.
